Retaking the Schroth course in Barcelona, November 2017.

I had the privilege to be allowed to retake the C1 certification Schroth course offered by the Barcelona Scoliosis Physiotherapy School in November 2017 at the Elena Salva Institute in Barcelona.  As course instructor, Dr. Manuel Rigo humbly offered his experience, insight, and immense knowledge of spinal deformities for 11 consecutive days.  Although I have been certified since 2011, I felt like I was learning some of the content for the very first time.  It is so important to stay current and updated in this field.  In the world of scoliosis, every year new research comes to light, and old concepts and techniques continue to evolve. This was also a unique experience in that I got to meet other physiotherapists from 8 different countries and spent quality time in the beautiful city of Barcelona. I feel so enriched after this trip.
